Edge Drop is a free, open-source clipboard manager for Windows that turns your clipboard into an interactive shelf on the edge of your screen. Hover the edge to open it, and drag text, images, links, and files directly into any application with real OS-level drag-and-drop.
Hover to Open
Access your clipboard by moving your mouse to the left or right edge of the screen, and slide it away when you're done. Optional Alt+C hotkey is fully remappable in Settings.
Copy to Save
Anything you copy — text snippets, links, images, screenshots, files — is automatically captured and saved on your shelf as a card.
Drag & Drop
Grab any item from your shelf and drop it directly into active apps like Photoshop, Word, Slack, and Explorer using native OLE file handles.
Grouped Stacks
Copying multiple items automatically groups them into stacks of up to ten. Click to expand and view the files inside.
Split Stacks
Extract any file from a group into its own standalone card by dragging it back to the screen edge.
Merge Cards
Clean up your clipboard by dragging one card directly on top of another to combine them.
Private by design
100% local: no account, no cloud sync, no telemetry. Clipboard history is encrypted at rest on your own machine.
