How to Support Edge Drop (Ko-fi, UPI) and What It Funds
You can support Edge Drop with a donation through Ko-fi (cards, PayPal and Apple Pay, from anywhere) or UPI (for donors in India), or without spending anything by starring the GitHub repository, reviewing the app in the Microsoft Store, or reporting bugs. Donations go to the developer to support ongoing work on the app. They don't unlock anything: Edge Drop is free and open source under the Apache License 2.0, with no paid tier.
How to donate
From the website
- Open the Support Edge Drop page.
- Choose Ko-fi for card, PayPal or Apple Pay payments. Ko-fi lets you give once or set up a monthly tip, and you don't need to create an account.
- Or choose UPI to open the UPI support page, then scan the QR code or use the UPI ID with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or another UPI app. The page notes that UPI payments carry no platform or gateway fees.
From inside Edge Drop
- Right-click the Edge Drop tray icon and select Settings.
- Scroll to Community & Support at the bottom of any tab.
- Select Support via Ko-fi / UPI. The support page opens in your browser.
Where the money goes
Edge Drop is a solo-maintained project in public beta, and the README presents donations as support for its ongoing development. The project doesn't publish a cost breakdown, so there's no official split between time, tools or services to report here.
What a donation does not do is buy anything. There is no premium version, licence key, subscription or donor-only feature. Ways to support Edge Drop for free
- Star the repository. The Star on GitHub link in Settings (GitHub build) opens the Edge Drop repository. Stars help other people find the project.
- Review it in the Microsoft Store. The Store build shows Review on Microsoft Store in the same place.
