Can You Search Clipboard History in Windows 11?

No. Windows 11's clipboard history (Win+V) has no search or filter box for your copied items. The search field you may see at the top of the panel belongs to the emoji, GIF, kaomoji and symbol tabs, and typing in it searches those, not your clipboard. To find an old copy, scroll the list (it holds at most 25 items), or use a clipboard manager that has real search.
Why there's a search box that doesn't find your copies
In Windows 11, Win+V opens a panel that also contains the emoji picker. The same panel opens on the emoji tab when you press Win+. (period). The emoji, GIF and other tabs have a search box; the clipboard tab doesn't. On a Microsoft Q&A thread asking exactly this, the answer was that clipboard history has no search function and that this is normal behaviour.
So if you typed a word and got emoji or "no results", nothing is broken. That box was never looking at your clipboard. What Win+V actually opens on Windows 11 tours the whole panel.
How to find something in Win+V without search
The list is short, so scanning it is quick. If the item isn't there, one of these explains why:

Two habits make the list easier to scan. Pin anything you'll reuse, because pinned items stay put and survive restarts (how to pin items in Windows clipboard history). And delete noise with See more (...) > Delete so the useful items stay near the top.
If Win+V shows nothing at all, even for text you copied seconds ago, that's a different problem: Win+V says "Nothing here".
Tools that add real clipboard search
If you regularly hunt for something you copied hours or days ago, you need a history that is longer than 25 items, survives restarts and can be searched. A few options:

A searchable history is also a searchable record
Anything you copy, including passwords, one-time codes and client details, becomes findable by anyone who can open the tool on your unlocked PC. Will Microsoft add search to clipboard history?
Microsoft hasn't announced it. The current support documentation describes pasting, pinning, deleting and clearing items, with no search.
Can I search clipboard history with PowerShell?
No. Get-Clipboard reads only the current clipboard item, not the history list.
How do I find something I copied last week?
